Reducing Climate Impact

Within our factories, the primary climate impact stems from energy consumption associated with heating, ventilation, cooling, and production operations. Our objective is to curtail this energy usage while increasing reliance on renewable sources. Furthermore, we are committed to a substantial 65% reduction in CO2 emissions from our facilities compared to 2014 levels. To achieve this, we have made significant investments over the past years to decrease our dependence on fossil fuels.

Taking Responsibility at Source

Enowl's Code of Conduct outlines the expectations we have for our suppliers in terms of human rights, labor regulations, health, safety, and environmental practices. We adhere to the principles established by the UN Global Compact, along with the guidelines of ILO and OECD. Both our internal and independent audits are responsible for evaluating adherence to our stipulations, identifying areas for enhancement.

Within our product manufacturing processes, material and product flow contributes significantly to our climate impact, accounting for over half of our total CO2 emissions. In our pursuit of improved efficiency, we are consistently striving to minimize transportation distances, streamline packaging, and maximize cargo capacity. We are also dedicated to substituting road freight with rail shipments and decreasing reliance on air transport whenever possible.
